Window Vinyl Design & Installation

Adobe Illustrator – Die Cut Machine

This custom two-color vinyl window graphic for Pineapple Contractors was fully designed in Adobe Illustrator, using precise vector paths to ensure clean alignment between the navy and yellow elements. The geometric pineapple graphic and bold typeface were created as separate layers for color separation and cutting accuracy.

The design was cut using a vinyl cutting machine, with two distinct rolls of adhesive vinyl: one in navy blue for the crown and text, and the other in yellow for the pineapple body. After cutting, the negative (unwanted) vinyl was carefully weeded out by hand, leaving only the clean shapes of each element on their respective backing sheets.

To align the two colors seamlessly, registration marks were added in Illustrator and cut along with each color layer. The yellow base and navy top elements were transferred separately using clear transfer tape, which allowed for visual alignment over the registration marks.

Once aligned, the full design was centered and carefully applied to the office window, using a squeegee to remove air bubbles and ensure full contact with the glass. After installation, the transfer tape and registration marks were peeled away, leaving a bold, professional branding mark visible from inside and outside the office.
